During May, the Redditch Middle Schools got their Kwik Cricket Tournaments underway.

There were 4 tournaments that took place at Redditch Cricket Club and were organised by Action Sport.

The first of these was the Year 6 Tournament which was entered by all middle schools in Redditch as well as Coppice and Meadow Green Primary Schools. The teams were put into 2 groups with the winners of each group playing a final to determine the overall winner. The winner of the Year 6 Tournament was St Bede’s Middle School.



On the same afternoon a Year 7/8 Girls Competition took place. This competition turned out to be very close but was eventually won by Woodfield Middle School. Congratulations to the girls on winning such a closely contested tournament.

During the following week, the Year 6 Girls Tournament took place and was won by Woodfield Middle School.


On the final day of the last half term it was the turn of the Year 5 Mixed Kwik Cricket Teams. Again, the teams were put into 2 groups with a final being played between the winning teams from each group. The winners were Birchensale Middle School.

The winners of the Year 5 & 6 competitions will now go on to represent Redditch in the county competitions. Good Luck to everyone!
