This years gymnastics festival took place in March at Abbey Stadium and was attended by 90 Year 2 children.

The first schools who attended were Abbeywood, St Georges, Tardebigge, Webheath Feckenham, Holyoakes Field, Woodrow, and Coppice Primary School.

Once everyone had arrived, the children were led in a high energy warm up by Action Sport coach Jenny Bayliss. Staff couldn’t resist this and were on their feet getting involved!



Once they were warm, the pupils rotated around three different work areas, Vault, Floor Exercises and Body Management. They were led through these stations by young leaders from Ridgeway Middle School.



The final part of the afternoon was an opportunity for the pupils to perform and show each other how well they had been getting on. Every child demonstrated in one of the 3 areas as part of their group.



Each pupil who attended the festival was given a certificate for participating, as well as an English Gymnastics badge to show them how well they had done!
