One of the new events on this years Redditch School Sport Partnership Calendar is the Middle and High School Dodgeball Tournament.
A Year 9 Tournament took place in February at Woodfield Middle School. The tournament was entered by Arrow Vale High School, St Augustines High School, Trinity High School, Kingsley College and Pitcheroak Special School. This competition was fantastically supported by leaders from NEW College. The competition was tough and the in the end the result was a tie between St Augustines and Kingsley College!
The Year 8 competition was taking place on the same afternoon at Birchensale Middle School. This was attended by Birchensale Middle School, Woodfield Middle School, St Bede’s Middle School, Ipsley Middle School, Walkwood Middle School, Woodrush High School and Pitcheroak Special School. There were some fantastic games throughout the afternoon and the tournament was eventually won by Woodfield Middle School..jpg)
For the pupils taking part in both of these tournaments, it was the first time they had represented their school in sport, and with well over 100 pupils competing, it was a great success. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the competition and the support they showed to the other teams was highly noted..jpg)
Huge thanks go to Woodfield and Birchensale Middle Schools for providing venues and staff, which enabled these two tournaments to go ahead
Redditch School Sport Partnership is looking forward to seeing this event again in the future!.jpg)
