In February, Redditch School Sport Partnership held the Year 4 Basketball Tournament. This year due to refurbishments taking place at Abbey Stadium, the event was held over 2 venues, Birchensale Middle School and Woodfield Middle School.

Birchensale held the established competition as well as an emerging competition, and Woodfield held an emerging competition.

11 schools entered the competition, which resulted in 21 teams taking part.



In the Emerging Tournament that took place at Woodfield, the winners were Astwood Bank A with Astwood Bank B and Coppice A as runners up.

The winners of the Emerging Tournament that took place at Birchensale, were Batchley B and the runners up were Webheath B.

The winners in the Established competition were Mount Carmel A with Batchley A finishing as runners up.

It was great to see so many teams entering the tournament and showing lots of support for one another.



The tournament was organised and refereed by staff from Action Sport and Redditch Basketball Club.
The event would not have run so smoothly without staff and leaders from Birchensale and Woodfield.
