During January, Redditch School Sport Partnership held a Sportshall Athletics Tournament for pupils in Year 4. The tournament took place at Arrow Vale High School.

Each team consisted of 7 pupils, a mixture of boys and girls with some schools entering more than one team. The event was entered by a total of 19 teams which was a fantastic turnout.

The teams rotated around 9 events during the afternoon. The Track events were a Fastest Lap, a Continuous 4 Lap Run, a 7 x 1 Relay and an Obstacle Relay. The field events were Standing Long Jump, Standing 3 Jumps, Soft Javelin, Seated Throw and Speed Bounce.



The pupils were assisted and scored on the events by leaders from Birchensale Middle School.



It was a fantastic competition which was won by Coppice 2 and the runners up were Webheath 1!
