This term has seen the First School Athletics Competition take place at Abbey Stadium.
Despite the unpredictable weather, teams turned out for the competition from Webheath First School, Meadow Green Primary School and Abbeywood First School.

During the afternoon the competitors took part in a 60m sprint, a 600m endurance race, long jump, high jump, javelin and ball throw.

The pupils were judged along the way by teachers, coaches and leaders and were scored overall as a team although their individual scores were also taken.

The overall winners of the competition were Webheath First School. However, the other schools gave them a great competition and some fantastic athletics took place during the event.
