Friday 14th November saw the Redditch Sportshall Athletics Competition.

During the morning, the Year 7 and 8 teams from 7 Middle Schools competed, and during the afternoon it was the turn of Years 5 & 6, with 9 schools from across the district being represented.

Each team was made up of 8 boys and 8 girls and they each participated in 9 events. The track events were a 1 lap sprint, an 8x2 relay, a continuous run and an 8x1 relay. The field events were Chest Push, Speed Bounce, Standing Long Jump, Standing Triple Jump and Javelin.

The results were based on a points system meaning that all competitors were contributing to their schools final score. The whole day was enjoyed by all, we saw some fantastic athletics, and the results were extremely close.

Both events were won by St Bedes Middle School. A big well done to them and a big well done to the other schools for making it such a good competition. You can download the full scores from both competitions below:
