Clubs

School-Club links is a vital aspect of The School Sport Partnership work. In order to encourage lifelong participation it is important that young people are being encouraged into sports clubs. This increases the amount of sport and physical activity that youngsters are taking part in beyond Curriculum PE and provides pathways and routes for them to continuing participating beyond their school life.

For activities, competitions and festivals, as a partnership we aim to provide information on relevant clubs for the participants and in many cases involve the club directly in the events. This improves the opportunities for the young people to access sport.

It is important that young people are signposted to clubs who have Clubmark accreditation. This is a cross quality accreditation which indicates that the club has structures in place to protect the children who attend the club.
